3. My result is not pregnant. This means that if your test yields a negative result, there was no hCG (pregnancy hormone) found in your urine. The pregnancy hormone level may not yet be high enough to be detected because you might not be pregnant or you might have miscalculated your menstrual cycle. Within the first week of a missed cycle, you might want to retest if you are unsure of the outcome. Consult your doctor if you still receive a negative result and your period has not yet begun as there could be additional causes for your lack of menstruation.
6. Will using an oral contraceptive or drinking alcohol affect my test results? Drinking alcohol won’t have an impact on your test results. Oral contraceptives, analgesics, antibiotics, or hormone treatments shouldn’t have an impact on test outcomes. Only medicines which contain hCG can produce a false result. If you are uncertain whether your medications contain hCG, talk to your doctor.

7. Will the amount of liquid I consume have an impact on the outcome? Water and other excessive fluids may dilute your urine, making it difficult to detect the presence of hCG. You should not drink too much liquid before testing.

4. The hCG (human Chorionic Gonadotropin) pregnancy hormone is detected in extremely small amounts by the test in your urine. Increased levels of HCG are produced during the first trimester of pregnancy.
