How do you complete a pregnancy test?
This is the test device
Step 1 – Remove test from packet.
Step 2: Discard the cap and affix it to the end of the thumb grip.
Step 3: Hold the test by the capped Thumb Grip and dip the exposed Absorbent Tip into your urine stream for at least 10 seconds to completely wet it. See the illustration below:
Step 4: Remove the test from your urine after at least 10 seconds, and then immediately put the thumb grip cap back on top of the absorbent tip.
5. Place the test on a flat surface with the Test and Control window facing up, and start timing.
Step 6: You might see a light red flow moving across the Test and Control windows as the test starts to function. Wait for the red line(s) to appear for at least three minutes. If no red line appears, wait one minute longer. In one minute or less, you might see some favorable effects.
Do not read the test result after 10 minutes.
How do I read the test results?
Pregnancy hormone levels present – 2 red lines in both the test window (T) and control window (C) means you may have retained products of conception. One line may be lighter than the other; they do not have to match.
Your pregnancy hormone levels are declining and the products of conception have been passed if there is no pregnancy hormone level present and there is one red line in the control window (C).
Invalid Result
Even if a line appears in the test window (T), the result is invalid if a red line does not appear in the control window (C). You should conduct a new midstream urine test with a new instrument to repeat the test.
What will happen next?
When will my periods return to normal?
If you had regular periods prior to becoming pregnant, they should resume within 4-6 weeks. Additionally, this will depend on the type of contraception you use.
When will my results show up and how long will they last?
After five minutes, check your results, and make sure to read within fifteen. After 15 minutes, the results may not be accurate.
